ITINERARY:
DAY 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park – Tarangire
In the morning depart for Arusha National Park game viewing. At first enjoy a few-hours on a walking safari, where you can observe Giraffes, Buffalos, Zebras, various antelopes and fluffy-tailed Black and White Colobus Monkeys at fairly close range. After lunch enjoy a game drive to the Momela Lakes, full of Pink Flamingos, before continuing on to the volcanic Ngurdoto Crater. In the afternoon transfer to Tarangire National Park for dinner and overnight. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Luxury Tented Camp/or Basic Camping.
DAY 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara
Take a sunrise game drive in Tarangire National Park, where thousands of animals migrate from the Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. Here, large families of Elephants can be seen all year round. After lunch enjoy a drive to the lush Lake Manyara National Park, situated right under the Great Rift Valley for an afternoon game drive. This little park provides a home to a wide variety of animals, but it is most famous for its unusual tree-climbing Lions, that like to rest on the Acacia tree branches six to seven meters above the ground. Also more than 400 species of birds have been recorded here. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Luxury Tented Camp/or Basic Camping
DAY 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti
After breakfast head straight to the world’s most famous park, the great Serengeti National Park. It is home to more than four million different animals and is best known for its yearly Wildebeest Migration. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Luxury Tented Camp/or Basic Camping
DAY 4: Serengeti – Olduvai Gorge – Maasai Boma – Ngorongoro
Spend the whole morning in search of Lions, Spotted Hyenas, Leopards, Cheetahs, Servals, Caracals, Giraffes, Buffalos, Topi, Hartebeests, Waterbucks, Impalas, Reedbucks, Bushbucks, Kirk’s Dik-diks, Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Warthogs and diverse birdlife within its endless plains. After lunch drive to “the cradle of mankind” as Olduvai Gorge is commonly referred too! Stop by a colourful Maasai tribe, who still live the same way as they have for centuries! Dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight: Lodge/Hotel/Luxury Tented Camp/or Basic Camping.
DAY 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After breakfast descend into the Ngorongoro Crater (the eighth wonder of the world), abundant with wildlife and the famous “Big Five.” Enjoy a picnic lunch before driving back to Arusha in the afternoon.
